OPIC’s Enterprise Development Network (EDN) has engaged Moody’s Analytics to train business consultants focused on supporting business development and growth in developing markets. Participants will obtain a Moody’s Analytics completion certificate for:

• Credit Underwriting
• Assessing Equity Investments
• Conducting Due Diligence
• Constructing Financial Models
• Writing Business Plans
• OPIC Finance and Political Risk Insurance 101

Participants will broaden their skills in preparing loan and investment proposals for their clients to present to lenders and equity investors.

Training to be followed by International Council for Small Business “Global Entrepreneurship” Conference, with both events held at The George Washington University.

Participants in the EDN-Moody’s Analytics Training are invited to attend a conference that will be held immediately after the training.The third annual International Council for Small Business (ICSB)-George Washington University (GW) Global Entrepreneurship Research and Policy Conference will take place on 11-13 October 2012. The conference will provide an opportunity for those supporting entrepreneurship and business creation to explore current issues and the latest advances.

The conference has four main components: a database fair with a full day of opportunities for informal discussions with database originators; presentation of scholarly work on business creation; keynote speakers, panels, and workshops on the latest policy issues; and training sessions on important data sets.
