SUPPORT DEVELOPING ECONOMIES WITH EDN

Lenders and donors (beginning in late 2011),as well as  equity investors and joint venture partners (in 2012) that work with business enterprises in developing economies will be encouraged to join the network as EDN Capital Providers. The EDN Search Engine provides a free, centralized Web-based platform for EDN Capital Providers to connect with vetted business service providers – EDN Originators – and learn about sound local projects that will help foster business development and growth.

THE EDN SEARCH ENGINE ENABLES CAPITAL PROVIDERS TO:

- Gain exclusive access to well-developed, thoroughly packaged projects ready for financing review with no obligation to pursue a given project

- Manage EDN projects and maintain up-to-date firm profile information in the EDN Search Engine using MyEDN

- Harness vast resources with access to projects, timely information, products including OPIC political risk insurance, direct loans, and other valuable offerings

- Promote financing capabilities with increased credibility as an EDN participant

- Identify potential partners and deals through trained and vetted EDN Originators, other capital providers, government agencies, and NGOs

- Champion socially and globally responsible investment processes with a wide audience

THE EDN SEARCH ENGINE

Established in 2007, EDN has developed partnerships with dozens of business service providers (BSP) located around the world. EDN is expanding to include the resources of lenders and equity providers (CAP, or Capital Providers), US and foreign government organizations (GOV), and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO).

The EDN Search Engine gives businesses instant access to EDN partners’ wide range of programs and services, including technical assistance grants, private and public funding, and other business  opportunities, services and support.

Ultimately, EDN provides a common platform for business enterprises to find the resources they need from qualified and trusted providers — and for EDN partners to market their portfolios, programs and services directly to the emerging markets they strive to serve.
